Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area
Located just 15km outside of Las Vegas, visiting the incredible rock formations at Red Rock Canyon feels like visiting another plant. In fact, the area was used for the Mars scenes in the original Total Recall movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Besides enjoying the beautiful 13km scenic drive, visitors can enjoy several accessible areas in the park, including boardwalks, overlooks, picnic areas, and of course bathrooms.

The Bellagio Hotel and Casino
Everything about the Bellagio Hotel is luxurious, and even if you choose not to stay there, there’s plenty to enjoy both inside and out. The fountains in front of the hotel are a major tourist attraction, as they dramatically dance to music and light in performances every night, and inside you’ll find plenty of art to admire, as well as an upscale mall and opulent restaurants.
The Bellagio is also home to the amazing Cirque du Soleil show O, which is set partly underwater and features incredibly talented performers from all over the world. If you can get a ticket, you’ll not regret splurging to see this show.
Should you choose to stay at the Bellagio, there are 85 accessible rooms in the property, and the hotel is well geared to those with mobility needs. If you choose to just view the fountains, you can do so with ease in mobility equipment. The Las Vegas Strip in entirely wheelchair accessible.
The Fremont Street Experience
When you visit Fremont Street, you are in the heart of old Vegas, and significant regeneration has gone into this downtown area over the past 10 years, turning it into a must-see destination that’s off The Strip. You’ll find museums, shopping, and many classic casinos including The Golden Nugget. The Fremont Street Experience is a an epic light show projected onto a canopy that covers much of Fremont Street, forming the largest screen in the world. The light show features 12.5 million lights and 550,000 watts of amazing sound and happens every hour.
The Fremont Street Experience is entirely wheelchair accessible. With a 1,500 canopy and spanning 5 blocks, an electric scooter or wheelchair will ensure that you are able to see the entire light show and visit as many casinos as possible.
The Hoover Dam
The iconic and impressive Hoover Dam is located 35 minutes from Las Vegas, but worth the drive. The dam is named one of the Top 10 Construction Achievements of the 20th century and draws more than a million visitors a year. A national historic landmark, the Hoover Dam is the highest concrete dam in the Western Hemisphere.
The Dam Tour is not accessible to those in wheelchairs, however the Power Plant Tour and Hoover Dam Visitors Center is wheelchair accessible. Guests with mobility equipment can enter the Visitor Center (one floor below street level) via an elevator inset into the canyon wall a few yards past the escalator entrance.
